Prerequisites

Node.js 22 and npm
An agent that can make authenticated HTTP GET and JSON POST requests (for example Claude Code, or curl by hand)

Run the demo

Clone and start

git clone https://github.com/divyansh-avyukt/agent-interface-protocol.git
cd agent-interface-protocol
npm install
npm run dev

Open a page

Open http://localhost:5173/control-panel (approval queue) or /store (shopping sandbox). The page’s bridge connects automatically. Keep the tab open and active.

Copy the agent instructions

The page shows a session token and ready-made instructions. Copy them to your agent. Anyone with the token controls that session, so share it only with an agent you trust.

Give the agent a task

For example:

Use the provided session token for the entire task. If state.authenticated is false,
log in with username admin and password 12345, then read the manifest again.
Reject pending requests above $3,000, one at a time. Read fresh state before each
decision, invoke reject_request with the matching ID, and verify each result.

Watch it happen

Each action runs in your browser tab, through the same handler a button click would use. You’ll see the queue change live.

Always re-read the manifest after an action. A 200 means the handler finished, not that the business outcome is what you wanted.
